Indycar visits New Hampshire in 2011, Iowa in 2010

Indycar will visit New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2011, this according to Indy Racing League CEO Randy Bernard. The short, low-banked speedway will be an exiting venue for the IRL as evidenced by a three lap demonstration by Ganassi and Dario Franchitti which saw speeds in excess of 200 m.p.h.! This will be a return to New Hampshire for US Formula cars. In 1996 Scott Sharp won here and in 1997, in another CART sanctioned race, fans saw Robbie Buhl's first victory and a third place from Tony Stewart.

Last week at Iowa, Tony Kanaan won, breaking a three year draught in the AndrettiAutosport car while Dario Franchitti's DNF changed the championship points lead back to Will Power in the Penske car back ahead of he and Ganassi teammate Scott Dixon.

Indycar is at Watkin's Glen this weekend, and the road racing will be at it's zenith at the historic Glen. Watch out for any Penske car, but Ryan Briscoe has won here and Castroneves is always a force. It will be a battle though, probably between Penske and Ganassi, but watch out for Dreyer/Reinbold Racing's Justin Wilson who won here last year in Dale Coyne's first Indycar win after decades of trying. Paul Tracy is finally back in a seat, albeit as a fill in for injured DR driver Mike Conway. Paul impressed with his speed in practice after more than a year out of the seat, having narrowly missed a start in this year's Indianapolis 500.
